The Seven Species with which the land of Israel was blessed are linked in the ancient texts directly to the virtues of the Jewish Nation, with each species representing a specific quality: The date represents versatility, vine – fertility, wheat – vitality, olive – uniqueness, fig – peace, pomegranate – wisdom, and barley represents material and financial viability. Israeli artist Amir Rom incorporates this affluence of the land and everything it stands for in this beautifully hand painted ceramic artwork.
